Dr. John Muir
Dr. Muir graduated from Ferris State University College of Optometry in 1998. He has practiced in Michigan for over six years. He is excited to offer people in the Howell area quality service and products that fit YOUR needs! Dr. Muir is married, has two cats, and is expecting a new arrival in January. His hobbies include running, cycling and genealogy. He is also a member of the Howell Rotary Club. Because he lives and works in Howell, he is committed to community service. He frequently volunteers his time to benefit the youth in our area.
We have presented well over 60 school programs in local area elementary and middle schools. We speak on the anatomy of the eye, talk about different eye conditions, and then bring out and dissect cow eyes with the children. Our office also sponsors the Howell Area Youth Baseball Association by supporting a team for three straight years. Go team!

Kimberley Muir
Kimberley is the office manager and resident optician. She is available to help patients select the proper frame and lenses that best fits their prescription. She can also repair eyeglasses or do adjustments if needed. She enjoys working with children. Kimberley has earned bachelors of science degrees in both Biology and Medical Technology. Dr. John and Kimberley have one child, and splits her time between taking care of him and our patients! |

Anna Smith, ABOC
Anna was born in Hungary, where she received her High School Diploma with the Major: Optician from 39th Schonherz Zoltan High School and Technical Institute. In Hungary she has worked in optical labs and optical manufacturing, beginning with the Hungarian Optical Works of Budapest and later as process quality control for Intra Ocular Lens manufacturer Medicontur LTD in Zsambek. She met her future husband there and later moved to the United States where they were married in 1993. Since then she has worked as dispensing optician in the South Eastern Michigan area. She earned her certificate from the American Board of Opticianry in 2004, and is an active member of Opticians Association of Michigan. Her interests and hobbies include flying with her husband/pilot, photography, travel, foreign culture, astronomy, listening to music, enjoying fine food and wine. She has been known, on at least one occasion, to have jumped out of a perfectly good airplane at over 12,000 feet. Anna and her husband are the loving guardians of a bull-terrier mix.

Dusty Seifert, CPO
Dusty has a lived in Howell for many years. She has volunteered in her children's school & sports teams, as well as she is involved with her church, car club and other organizations. She has a daughter at Lake Superior State University and a son at Howell High School. Her hobbies and interest are camping with her family, traveling, photography and attending cars shows with her husband. Dusty has a degree in Medical Administration with a background in bookkeeping, as well as being a Certified Paraoptometric. She enjoys working with people, especially children. She looks forward to assisting you in anyway she can when you call or come into our office. |
