CURRENT PROMOTIONS Click on the promotion title for more details. |
- Lions Club Glasses Colletion - We collect old glasses for the Howell Lions Club. The donated glasses are cleaned and sorted according to the prescription. The Lions Club then sends the glasses and volunteer optometrists to various locations in the world to give eye exams and match the glasses up with person's prescription. Dr. Muir has been on one such trip to St. Lucia and can testify how much the glasses are appreciated by the people who receive them. Next time you are cleaning out your drawers at home, consider donating your old glasses to the Lions Club.
- InfantSEE - Cooing, sitting up and crawling are signs that your baby is growing. Your baby's vision has stages of development too, but usually there are no signs to mark the progress.
The American Optometric Association encourages parents to include a trip to the optometrist in the list of well-baby check-ups. Assessments at six to twelve months of age can determine healthy development of vision. Early detection of eye conditions is the best way to ensure your child has healthy vision for successful development?now and in the future.
InfantSEE? is a public health program designed to ensure that eye and vision care becomes an integral part of infant wellness care to improve a child's quality of life. Under this program, which started in Summer 2005, our member optometrists will provide a comprehensive infant eye assessment within the first year of life as a no cost public health service. For more information, please visit www.infantsee.org or call our office.
